The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 634

Joseph was taken aback. He turned to Raymond in surprise. "My father-in-law was an organ donor?"

Raymond nodded. "Yes. Even though he was bedridden for years and suffered from multi-organ failure, his corneas are still perfectly viable. He signed the registry papers years ago."

Hillary looked up at her daughter and son-in-law, her voice trembling but proud. "It was what your father wanted. He was trapped in that bed for so long... He never got the chance to go out, travel, and see the beauty of the world. He told me that by donating his corneas, he could save someone from darkness, and through their eyes, he could finally see the world."

Joseph nodded slowly, his own eyes growing hot with unshed tears. Such a deeply good man, yet fate had been so unspeakably cruel to him.

Hillary turned to the doctor. "We'll stay for just a few more minutes to say our final goodbyes. After that, please proceed with whatever needs to be done."

"Understood, Hillary," the doctor replied respectfully before stepping out.

Hillary looked at her family and forced herself to sit a little straighter. "Let's say goodbye to Hayes. He's finally free. He doesn't have to be trapped in that bed anymore, and he doesn't have to suffer. This is a blessing in disguise. Please, don't cry too much."

Joseph gently lifted Chaim out of Vivica's lap. Raymond's wife stepped forward to help Vivica to her feet.

Together, the family bowed deeply toward Hayes Chase one last time before turning to leave the room.

The loss of a loved one was a uniquely agonizing pain, but life had to keep moving forward.

Raymond quickly pulled himself together and turned to Joseph. "Joseph, I've made reservations for dinner. Take Vivica and the elders to get something to eat. I'll stay here and handle the hospital procedures."
