Joseph touched his nose and took a deep breath to quell the rising heat inside him, then turned to his own closet to pick out what he would wear.
After some consideration, he decided on the suit Vivica had bought for him a few days ago.
The sound of the shower filled the air, and just imagining the scene inside was enough to test his self-control. To save time, he grabbed his clothes and went to wash up in another bathroom.
Inside, Vivica washed her hair and scrubbed herself clean, worried that she might not smell perfect and leave him with a bad impression. But since they were in a rush to get to the marriage registry, she couldn't linger and had to speed things up.
Half an hour later, she opened the door, drying her hair with a towel. “I’m done. It’s your turn.”
The bedroom was silent.
She took a few steps into the room and saw that it was empty. Where had he gone when they were in such a hurry?
“Joseph,” she called, opening the door and stepping into the hallway.
No answer.
“Joseph!” she called again, her voice louder this time.
“What’s all the shouting for?” Joseph emerged from a bathroom at the end of the hall, also drying his hair with a towel.
Vivica was about to say, “It’s your turn,” but when she saw he had already showered, she remembered the house had several bathrooms. He didn’t have to wait for the master one.
She pressed her lips together. The sight of his open bathrobe, revealing a firm, sexy chest, suddenly made it hard to breathe, and she turned to go back into the room.
