The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 333

“That’s likely the case,” Joseph chuckled, teasing her. “Seems pretty dramatic, right? Like something out of a movie.”

“I…” Vivica was too stunned to speak. The world was full of strange twists. Just minutes ago, her colleagues were gossiping, mistakenly thinking she was some heiress. And now, this news dropped.

“So, you might want to consider going to Sydville to meet them. It'd be a good opportunity to arrange a paternity test.”

Vivica's tone was dismissive. “Just looking at the photo, it's pretty much confirmed. What's the point of a test?”

“A photo resemblance is just speculation. Only a medical test, in black and white, can serve as legal proof.” Joseph was a lawyer; he always insisted on concrete evidence.

“If the results show you're not related, then you can just consider it a good deed. But if you are their daughter and they offer you their inheritance, you should take it. Think of it as compensation for all these years.”

Joseph's perspective was practical. There was no sense in turning your back on a fortune, especially one that should have been hers all along.

But Vivica had her pride. “I don't need their money,” she said disdainfully. “Even if we are related, I don't want their inheritance.”

Maybe they wanted to use money to atone for their sins, to ease their guilt. But why should she give them that chance?

Joseph knew her temperament and didn't push. “Just think about it. No need to rush into a decision.”

“Okay.”

“Has Raymond contacted you again?” Joseph asked, worried she couldn't handle it alone.

“Not yet. Probably this afternoon. Everyone's busy on a Monday.”

Inwardly, Vivica hoped he wouldn't ask again. She was trying to avoid the whole situation.

“He said he wanted an answer today, so he'll definitely be in touch.”
