“Watch what you’re saying, you walking fire hydrant,” Quintina warned, her expression hardening. “This has nothing to do with you, so I’d advise you to stay out of it.”
The man’s face instantly contorted with rage at the insult. “Who are you calling a fire hydrant? Don’t think I won’t hit you just because you’re a woman.”
“So what if I am? Calling you a fire hydrant is a compliment,” Quintina shot back, refusing to yield. “You look like a total creep!”
“Say that again, you shrew! You think you’re so beautiful? Who would even want to look at you? You’re more vicious than a she-devil.”
Seeing the ferocity in the man’s eyes, Vivica worried he might actually strike Quintina. She quickly pulled her friend behind her for protection.
“I’ve seen greedy pigs before, but never a creature as short, fat, and disgusting as you,” Vivica began, her voice dripping with contempt. “Before you go leering at women, maybe you should check if you can even find your junk under that mountain of lard. You’re barely tall enough to reach my waist, yet your belly is bigger than a woman’s nine months pregnant. You’re so greasy you could rival a pig, and you still have the nerve to stand here and pretend you’re some kind of hero dispensing justice?”
Before Vivica had even finished, Quintina erupted in applause, giving her two thumbs up. “Vivica, you’ve really picked up a thing or two from Mr. Baird. You’ve mastered his sharp tongue.”
The man was so enraged by Vivica's tirade that his face turned purple. He raised a trembling finger at her, sputtering, “You… you… you…”
Loretta was even more furious. She had intended to incite the man to attack Vivica and get revenge for her family, but she hadn’t expected Vivica to be such a formidable opponent.
“Vivica, are you even human?” Loretta shrieked. “My father is still lying in the ICU! If Dane hadn’t been kind enough to help me, he’d be gone by now. You’re the one who ruined our family! Dane is just trying to make up for the harm you’ve caused!”
