She knew the villa the Bairds had given her would be fully furnished, but she couldn't bear to part with these pieces she had so carefully chosen. "Wow," Vivica said, shaking her head. "If I hadn't known you for so many years, I might have actually believed that. You're just sticking around because you haven't found a better prospect yet. The second you do, you'll care even less about his fate than I do."

"Ms. Lynn, the real estate agent is here," Fannie interjected, saving Riley from having to respond.

Vivica turned to see two agents approaching the apartment, but Dylan was faster. He rushed forward to block their path, unleashing a torrent of abuse. "Get out! We're not selling! Get the hell out of here!"
