Chapter 597 Slacking Off
Finished
Brielle thought that if this news could get Bridget to break them up, Sabrina might have a
chance!
Even though Sabrina didn’t show it, Brielle was sure she was still into Jeremy.
Whenever they talked, Sabrina would always let something slip about him.
Brielle felt sorry for her and really hoped they could end up together.
“Uh… wouldn’t it be kinda awkward to show up at Jordan Estate so abruptly?”
Gianna acted like she was super embarrassed, but inside, she was thinking something completely different.
She had shown up with her face still bruised for exactly this reason.
Now that her plan was working, she was feeling pretty smug.
“Why would it be awkward? We’re friends. I’m just inviting you to hang out at my house. That’s normal, right?”
Brielle didn’t think it was a big deal.
If being “friends” with this woman helped Sabrina win Jeremy back, it was worth it.
“Okay. Thanks for standing up for me,
Brielle.”
Gianna smiled sweetly and her words sounded just as sweet.
But everyone knew what was really going on.
Brielle just gave a slightly guilty laugh.
Meanwhile, Amelia had been dealing with a cold for a few days since getting back from the hot spring resort.
Luckily, she had a strong immune system, and it wasn’t the flu-just a normal cold-so she felt better after resting for a few days.
Of course, a big reason was her devoted, loyal boyfriend, who reminded her to take her medicine and took care of her every day. That’s why she recovered so fast.
“I’m a doctor myself, you know, I’m not that fragile. I can take care of myself,” Amelia said, watching him run around for her.

He was already busy enough with work, but at home, he wouldn’t stop taking care of her and feeding her. The only thing he wasn’t doing was carrying her to the bathroom.
“Doctors can’t treat themselves. It’s like a fortune teller can’t predict their own future,” he said. confidently.
“Maybe other people can’t, but I think I can,” Amelia said, amused and exasperated.
“Just think of it as giving me a chance to show what I can do.”
Jeremy didn’t care what she said. He easily picked her up in his arms.
“What are you doing?”
“You just got over a cold, and you’re still weak. I’m carrying you to the dining table to eat.”
After saying that, he walked straight toward the dining room while holding her.
Amelia hadn’t gone back to work these past few days and had been resting at home. With Josie and Harrison helping out, she felt more at ease staying home to rest.
But someone seemed to find an excuse to slack off. He spent at least half the day staying home with her.
Unless something very important came up, he was basically glued to her side..
Well, “slacking off” wasn’t the right word.
As soon as he was home, he was sticking close to her, cooking, feeding her, giving her meds, and even giving her massages.
He even carefully placed her slippers in front of her whenever she got out of bed.
Amelia kept teasing him about it, but deep down, she felt warm and touched.
When two people are together, it’s easy to share the good times, but not everyone can weather the hard ones.
These little details showed that even though Jeremy looked cold and distant on the outside, he was actually warm and caring.
She felt lucky to know him, meet him, and fall in love with him.
After dinner, Jeremy got back to work while Amelia handled her own stuff in the bedroom.
Jeremy was originally only supposed to stay for a few days, but now it was pretty clear he had

no plans to leave.
Amelia was used to having him around. Now that they were officially a thing, she didn’t want him to leave either.
She even cleared out a room to make a study for him.
They were balancing work and romance.
While he was in the study working on some documents, his phone suddenly rang loudly.
“Jeremy, when are you coming home?”
It was Bridget.
Before Jeremy could say a word, his g
war off on a rant.
