“William from that multinational is already here in the city. He’s my friend. If you refuse to marry me, I’ll go straight to him and make sure he pulls out of the deal with your family’s company. Lilly shook with anger. She couldn’t believe Lucas had it all planned out, even down to being friends with William.

“Lucas, we can’t afford to lose this partnership. Do you really have to go this far?”

Lucas reached out and gently held her face, his hands warm against her skin. “Lilly, whether things get ugly or not depends on you. It might look like I’m in control, but actually, the decision has always been in your hands.”

He started off stroking her lips softly. They were warm and sweet, and the touch made his breath quicken. He couldn’t hold back anymore. The pressure of his thumb grew more intense, his eyes dark and hungry. He pushed her backwards until she fell onto the bed.
