The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 806

Sarah’s face darkened.

Lilly gave her a slow once-over. “Lucas dumped you three years ago, but you still can’t get over him. I mean, it makes sense. He’s been on such a hot streak lately, who could be a better catch than him? But the truth is, he doesn’t want you anymore. You got all dressed up tonight just to catch his eye. Seeing all these influencers and bunny girls swarming around him must have you feeling insecure, right?”

Sarah’s cheeks flushed. She hadn’t expected Lilly to see right through her.

Lilly let out a cold laugh. “I never bothered you, so don’t come after me. I couldn’t care less about your drama. If you’re hoping to see me fall on my face, be careful, because you might end up being the punchline instead.”

Sarah was fuming. She’d always had it out for Lilly. Lilly had everything—a great family, a perfect background, and she was even prettier. Worst of all, even though Lucas had played the field these past three years, everyone knew Lilly was the one he liked the most.

Lucas never really forgot about Lilly.

Sarah’s jealousy ran deep.

She clenched her fists. “Don’t get smug, Lilly. Lucas and I are going to get back together.”

Lilly shrugged. “I’m not your mom. I don’t need to know about your relationship updates.”

Sarah was left speechless.

She felt her blood boil. She had never once won an argument with Lilly. Frustrated, she stomped her foot and stormed off.

Lilly went back to her seat and knocked back her cocktail.

She drank too fast. The burn hit her throat hard, hot and sharp.

That sting quickly spread to her chest, leaving her feeling raw inside.

Lilly reached for her drink again, but Victoria gently stopped her. “Lilly.”

Victoria’s eyes were full of worry. “Are you thinking about Jace?”
