He leaned in and kissed her again, even harder this time.

Suddenly, the bathroom door swung open and Lola’s little figure appeared. “Mommy,” she called in her sweet voice.

Then she spotted David kissing Ella. “Uh oh,” she squeaked, covering her eyes with both hands. “You are kissing. How embarrassing.”

Ella quickly pushed David away and hurried over to Lola. “Lola, listen to me…”
