The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 743

Moss’s eyebrows drew together. “Louise, you need to let this go. I only ever saw you as a little sister.”

“You love her, don’t you? You love Joanna,” Louise pressed.

Moss nodded without a pause. “Yes. Joanna is the only woman I love.”

Louise stepped back, her face tight with disappointment. “Moss, please don’t blame Jessa for this. I was the one who begged her to help me. I just wanted one shot, even if it meant getting burned. If you want to punish someone, let it be me.”

Ella watched, almost amused. Louise really was a champion at this. By taking the blame, she was protecting Jessa, knowing Moss would never truly do anything to his own daughter.

Moss’s expression softened, but his voice stayed firm. “Louise, just leave. Move out as soon as you can.”

Louise’s shoulders dropped. “Alright, Moss. I’ll leave.” She turned and walked away, not looking back.

As she reached the door, Jessa ran after her. “Louise, don’t leave! Dad, how can you be so cruel to her?”

Moss’s tone was sharp. “That’s enough, Jessa. Go to your room. If your mother knew you were the one who drugged me, it would break her heart. I don’t want to hear another word. Go. You’re grounded.”

Jessa sent Ella a furious look before stomping upstairs, clearly not happy with how things turned out.
