The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 729

She had a soft, beautiful face, the kind that could turn heads in any room.

Louise knew she had this. She was sure tonight would be the night she finally won Moss over.

Moss was in his study, buried in work. He had a lot on his plate, especially since he was planning to risk everything. Time was running out.

But suddenly, he felt this strange heat building inside him. He tugged at the buttons of his shirt, but it didn’t help. The heat just kept getting worse.

He got up and went straight to his bedroom, hoping a cold shower would help. He let the water run over him, but it didn’t do a thing. If anything, it made the burning inside him even more intense. He felt like he was on fire.

Moss changed into black silk pajamas and sat on the edge of his bed. He picked up his phone, ready to call his personal assistant for help.

Just then, the duvet shifted and Louise appeared from underneath. She’d just showered too, her face pink and fresh, eyes warm and inviting. She stared at Moss and softly called out, “Moss…”

Moss felt his blood rush. He swallowed, voice rough. “Louise, what are you doing here?”

Louise smiled sweetly. “Moss, I’m here waiting for you.”

He frowned, frustration in his tone. “Stop this. Get out of my bed, now.”

He started to get up, but Louise moved fast, wrapping her arms tightly around him from behind. Her body pressed close, fitting against him. “Don’t go, Moss. Do you really want me to leave?”

His eyes grew darker, a dangerous flicker in them. He’d been alone for years, but he was still just a man with needs.

The effects of the drug inside him kept building, chipping away at his self-control.
