The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 719

“I can’t believe you’re suddenly playing innocent,” Joanna teased, her voice low. “There’s not a single spot on you I haven’t touched. What’s with the shy boy act?”

Moss just stared at her, lost for words.

She didn’t let up, fingers quick and sure as she tugged at the buttons on his shirt. They popped off, one after another, until half his chest was bare. Her hand slid over warm, hard muscle. She curled against him, lithe and tempting, like she knew exactly what she was doing.

Moss swallowed, heat building beneath his skin, but he let her cling to him.

His body’s warmth finally eased some of the tension from Joanna’s shoulders, though she was still pale. She hesitated, then said quietly, “About Jessa…”

“Don’t worry,” Moss murmured. “I have someone watching her. She’ll be safe.”

Joanna sighed. “Jessa wants to work for me, which is great, but her ambition is way over the top. She wants everything now. I need to talk some sense into her.”

Jessa was a constant worry for both of them, and neither had found a solution.

“I get it,” Moss said, his voice soft.

Joanna’s eyes suddenly darted up to his. “Moss, you’re… aroused.”

His gaze darkened, fixed on her lips. He leaned down, ready to kiss her.

Joanna turned her head just in time.

Moss shifted, rolling her beneath him.

She frowned, palms against his chest. “What are you doing?”

He smirked. “I thought it was obvious. You can feel what you’re doing to me.”

Without warning, Joanna plunged her hand into his pocket, searching for something.

“Joanna,” Moss groaned.

She pulled out his phone, waving it. “If Mr. Wade has needs, maybe I should just call Louise over for you.”
