The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 669

“Don’t worry, ma’am. His forehead injury has already been taken care of,” Aiden said gently.

“That’s good to hear.”

Mrs. Harmon hung up and settled in for the night. The next morning, her maid came in, opened a small bottle, and handed her a pill.

Mrs. Harmon swallowed it.

“How are you feeling today, ma’am?” the maid asked.

Mrs. Harmon felt warmth spreading through her legs. It was getting stronger, more noticeable. She shifted a little, testing herself.

Her leg responded. It actually moved.

The maid’s eyes widened. “Ma’am, you just moved your leg!”

No one could be more excited than Mrs. Harmon. For the first time in so long, she felt like her legs belonged to her again. She tried a little more, and both feet touched the floor.

“Oh my goodness, ma’am, you’re really moving! Let me help you try standing up,” the maid said, rushing over to support her.

With the maid’s help, Mrs. Harmon slowly rose from her wheelchair. She glanced at the maid. “Let go.”

The maid let go, hands hovering just in case.

Mrs. Harmon stood there, steady and upright.

“Ma’am, you’re standing! You really did it! This is amazing!” the maid cheered, almost shouting.

Mrs. Harmon stared down at her own legs, barely able to believe it. She was standing on her own.

Her strength didn’t last long. After a moment, she eased herself back into the wheelchair. She knew she couldn’t stand for long yet. After being paralyzed for over twenty years, it would take time to recover.

But she could stand. That was enough for now.

Her legs worked again.

“Ma’am, this is incredible. The medicine Ms. Irvine gave you is a miracle!” the maid said, her voice full of awe.

Mrs. Harmon’s eyes were shining. “Is Ella leaving today?”

The maid nodded. “Yes, ma’am. Ms. Irvine said last night that she’s leaving today.”
