The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 667

“My legs don’t work anymore, so I have to use a wheelchair now,” Mrs. Harmon said softly.

Lola looked thoughtful. “Are you sick? Don’t worry, everything will get better. I’ll give you a lollipop to cheer you up.”

She pulled out a bright, rainbow-colored lollipop and held it out. Mrs. Harmon just stared, caught off guard. No one had ever given her a lollipop before.

Growing up, she’d been a proper young lady from a wealthy family. Her parents drilled her on etiquette, arranged marriages, and how to be the perfect wife and mother. Lollipops were never part of that world. She’d never even tasted one, always told they were just sugary junk.

She didn’t know what to do, so she just sat there, frozen.

Lola didn’t seem to notice. She gently placed the lollipop in Mrs. Harmon’s hand. “Really, you should try it. It’s super sweet.”

There was something about Lola’s smile, so warm and genuine, that made Mrs. Harmon smile back almost without thinking.

Just then, Ella walked over. “Lola.”

Mrs. Harmon looked up and recognized her instantly. She tensed. “Ella? Is this your daughter?”

Ella hadn’t expected Lola to wander off while she was on the phone. It had been three years since she last saw Mrs. Harmon.

She remembered the last time they spoke, how heavy that conversation was. But Ella had never held grudges against Mrs. Harmon. She understood how hard it is for women, how everyone has their own reasons. From Mrs. Harmon’s side, she hadn’t done anything wrong.

Taking Lola’s hand, Ella introduced them calmly. “Hello, Mrs. Harmon. This is my daughter, Lola.”

Mrs. Harmon studied Ella, realizing she hadn’t changed much. She still had that graceful, clever look, but now there was something different about her—like she was even more confident with her beautiful daughter by her side.

“Ella, I heard you’re the famous Isabella,” Mrs. Harmon said.
