The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 636

Ella looked over at Moss. “Why did Rachel die all of a sudden? Why would she run straight into a wall like that?”

Moss shook his head. “I really don’t know.”

Staring at Rachel’s lifeless body, Ella felt a heavy wave of sadness. Rachel had never acted like a mother to her, always hurting her instead, but Ella had never wished for her to die.

Her pale eyes started to turn red, filling with tears that soon spilled down her cheeks.

Just then, the butler’s voice rang out from the hallway. “Sir, something terrible has happened!”

Moss turned quickly. “What is it?”

The butler looked anxious. “Sir, Miss Jessa is missing.”

What? Jessa was missing?

Moss didn’t hesitate. He rushed out and ran straight to Jessa’s room. The room was empty. She was nowhere to be seen.

“Jessa! Jessa!” Moss called out, then spun around to the butler. “When did she disappear?”

“Sir, a maid went to bring her some milk and noticed she was gone. No one saw her leave. I think she’s been missing for a while.”

Moss’s voice was sharp. “Send everyone out to look for her. I don’t care if you have to search every corner of Rockford Bay, just find Jessa and bring her back.”

The butler nodded. “Yes, sir.”

Moss hurried outside, just as Ella was coming toward him. “Mr. Wade, I need to talk to you.”

“What is it, Ella?”

“Don’t you think it’s strange? Peter and Rachel are both dead, and now Jessa has disappeared?”

Moss’s face was tense. “Ella, I have to find Jessa right now. We’ll talk later.”

He took off again.

Ella frowned, her brows knitting together.

David came over and slipped his arm around her shoulders. “Ella, how could Jessa just vanish? Where would she even go?”

Ella kept her gaze on the direction Moss had gone. “Don’t worry. Jessa isn’t the type to let anything happen to herself.”
