Clutching his bleeding forearm, Henry staggered back. The iron rod fell to the floor with a clang.
"Damn it! You bitch!"
The scar on his face twisted like a centipede in his fury as he raised his foot to kick Victoria in the chest.
A sudden whoosh cut through the air. Bang!
A bullet shot from the silver barrel of a gun, trailing fire, and accurately struck Henry's knee.
Henry's legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees.
At the same time, Elias burst through the door, his black trench coat whipping in the crosswind.
Henry looked up at the newcomer, his murky eyes shot with blood. He wore a crazed smile, as if the gunshot hadn't even fazed him.
"Elias, you're finally here!" Henry struggled to his feet, his body swaying.
In an instant, countless red laser dots streamed in from the windows, densely covering the vital points on his body.
Outside, dozens of snipers were already in position, waiting for Elias's command.
Elias's expression was grim. "Henry," he said in a low voice, "your show is over."
"Over?" Henry looked at the red dots—signals of death—on his body. There was no fear on his face, only a twisted glee. "I went to all this trouble, planned for so long… I didn't do it just for you to come and call it off."
With that, he suddenly pulled out a small remote control, the smile fading from his lips as he looked at Victoria.
