Seeing her intrusion, the interviewers frowned. "Miss, what is your number? You can't just barge in and disrupt someone else's interview."
Another interviewer snapped, "Your interview for today is canceled. Please leave."
Sapphire's hand trembled as she pointed a finger at Loyce. "Who... who is she?"
The interviewers exchanged looks of disbelief.
The applicant whose interview had been interrupted answered angrily, "It's written right there, isn't it? She's the director of Blossom Hospital."
"She's just a worthless little tramp who's barely out of her teens!" Sapphire's voice rose to a shriek.
She couldn't accept it. The position she had traded her body for had somehow been given to Loyce.
"You're all mistaken!" she screamed. "This hospital is mine! I'm the director!"
As she descended into a raving fit, one of the interviewers pressed a button on the desk phone to call security.
Seeing how they were treating her, Sapphire frantically pulled out her phone to call Gavin, shouting, "You're all going to be fired! Just you wait!"
Loyce rested her chin on her hand, calmly watching Sapphire's meltdown.
Sapphire's first three calls went unanswered. Just as security arrived to escort her out, Loyce raised a hand. "Wait. Let her make the call."
The fourth call connected. Sapphire immediately put it on speaker, holding the phone up to the interviewers' faces as she panted. "Quick, you tell them! Tell them who Walsh Hospital belongs to! Tell them!"
A man's irritated voice came through the speaker. "Where are you?"
