Elena, watching from the side, almost laughed.
Sure enough, Dylan could handle anything.
With Mrs. Chapman pacified, Elena and Dylan prepared to return to Cresden City.
Seeing that Dylan wasn't around, Isabella cornered Elena.
She interrogated her immediately. "Elena, you did this, didn't you? That waiter—you hired him to impersonate someone! I can't find him anywhere now!"
Isabella hadn't given up. She had gone downstairs hoping to find the waiter to prove her innocence, but he had vanished.
"Isabella, it's called returning the favor," Elena replied calmly.
"You bitch!" Isabella raised her hand, aiming to slap Elena.
"Stop!" Dylan appeared and grabbed her wrist.
"Haven't you learned your lesson? You still want to hit Elena?" Dylan demanded.
Isabella cried, "Dylan, she set me up! It really was her!"
"You ran into Mr. Chapman's room on your own, and you're blaming Elena? Did Elena hold a knife to your neck and force you in there?"
"No... but she sent that waiter! She sent a fake message saying you were waiting for me in the room, that's why I went!"
"Do you have a brain? Would I ever ask you to come to my room?"
Isabella was speechless.
"Enough. I don't want to hear it. Make your own way back to Cresden City. And in the future, don't follow me on business trips!"
Dylan finished speaking and walked away, pulling Elena with him.
On the plane, Elena asked tentatively, "Dylan, do you think I planned it?"
"Whether it was you or not doesn't matter to me. All I care about is that you don't get hurt. I don't want to worry about anything else because I will always be on your side."
Elena felt deeply moved. With Dylan's intelligence, how could he not guess the truth?
But he simply trusted her, no matter what.
Elena smiled happily. "Then I will always be on your side too!"
