After the black vortex sucked him in, Darryl felt as if the sky was spinning. After a while, the dizziness disappeared. Then, Darryl opened his eyes and was immediately stunned. Everything was dimmed, with gray surroundings, boundless and unbounded, as if he had entered a world of chaos.
'What is this place?' Darryl stood there with a confused face. He felt his fairy soul was suppressed and could not be conjured in that chaotic world. It was as if he had returned to a mere mortal, and that frightened him.
Suddenly, he heard a deep breathing sound in the endless darkness.
Startled, he yelled instinctively. "Who's there?" Then, he followed the noise.
'Sh*t! There's somebody here?!' He was stunned after a dozen or more steps—a person was floating in mid-air in the dimness.
The man was dressed in a shabby but clean black robe and looked around 35 years old, with cool and handsome features. However, he also had an evil aura.
Things were not made better by his frantic long white hair, which was indescribably domineering.
The man and Darryl looked at each other from a distance. He did not know how long had passed before he let out a sigh. "I did not expect that after so many years, the first person to come in here turned out to be a human."
"Get out of this place?" Emperor Aurelias looked at Darryl with a smirk on his face as if he had heard a ridiculous joke. "You are quite naive, indeed. I have been trapped here for 30,000 years, so what can a mere mortal like you do?"
Darryl's brain began to buzz, and his entire body became frigid. 'Did he say he has been trapped here for 30,000 years?'
"However, it seems like you're no ordinary human being since you're here. Let's have a quick test to see what's so special about you," Emperor Aurelias said mockingly with a half-smile on his face.
He raised his right hand, and immediately, Darryl felt powerful energy imprison him as he shot up into the air. It was as if there was an invisible hand lifting him.
