Ann carefully observed everyone's reactions, her gaze lingering on Gideon for a moment before finally settling on the matriarch. "Grandma." Ann knelt by the matriarch's legs, tears instantly welling up. "What happened at the wedding wasn't real. The James family was just making up rumors to extort money." When she felt the matriarch's hand gently squeeze hers, Ann's confidence surged.

"Grandma, I know today's events were embarrassing for the family, but it was all Mrs. Windsor's doing behind the scenes." Everyone looked puzzled. "Mrs. Windsor?" Ann nodded, aggrieved. "I had a small misunderstanding with Miss Windsor before, and Mrs. Windsor, wanting to get back at me for her daughter, deliberately stirred up trouble between me and the James family. She encouraged them to ask me for money. I never expected they would go so far as to cause a scene at the wedding."

The patriarch couldn't stand watching Ann treat them all like fools. He pointed at her. "Let's not even talk about your personal grudges with Miss Windsor. Benton put the phone on speaker and placed it on the coffee table. The sight of Lamont made Ann collapse to the floor.

Benton asked Lamont, "Lamont, whose child is Ethan, really?" Kenny added, "Lamont, please explain the whole story clearly to my grandmother." Ann was frozen in shock. So, the Harvest family knew Lamont. On the video call, Lamont's eyes were filled with revulsion as he looked at Ann. "This child is the result of Ann's scheme against me!"

The matriarch pointed at Ann, shaking her head in disappointment. "Ann, you!" Ann shook her head, her conscience screaming. "Grandma, don't listen to his nonsense! It's not like he says!" Lamont addressed the Harvest family. "Back then, my fiancée and I were about to get married. We were out with friends at a bar when this woman, Ann, targeted me. She drugged me."

Lamont continued, "After it happened, she disappeared. A few months later, she showed up at the Delaney residence with a baby, trying to force me to break up with my fiancée and marry her. I paid her off to get rid of her." He went on, "Later, when she found out I was married and her hopes of marrying into the Delaney family were gone, she tried to dump the child on me. Luckily, our butler, Palmer, saw her leaving the baby at our gate, so she had to take him back."

Lamont concluded, "Like mother, like daughter. Ann is trash, and I will not raise a child she gave birth to. I'll send you the paternity test. From now on, don't contact me about anything related to Ann. The thought of her disgusts me!" After hanging up, Lamont sent both his and Ethan's paternity test results, along with Ann's hospital birth certificate, to Benton.

Benton pointed at Ann and confronted the matriarch. "Grandma, this woman is still lying to you even now! How can you tolerate it?" The matriarch's face was ashen with anger.
