Chapter 658
“I’ll come pick you up once I’m done,” Cale said as he unfastened his seatbelt, already moving to open the door for Lydia. Behind their car, Andrew followed closely, ever watchful.
Today, Andrew was once again assigned to accompany Lydia around Berlin. In just two more days, their honeymoon would come to an end-and Lydia had made it clear she intended to make the most of every remaining moment here.
A quiet guilt lingered in Cale’s chest, but Lydia, as always, eased it without hesitation. She had told him more than once that she didn’t mind his work commitments. If she did, she would have complained long
ago.
“I’ll wait for you,” Lydia replied, her smile bright and effortless as she placed her hand in his.
“Have fun,” Cale murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead, unconcerned by the curious glances from passersby. Then his gaze shifted to Andrew, his tone turning firm. “Stay with her wherever she goes. And keep me updated if anything happens.”
“Yes, Mr. Cale.”
Cale remained standing in the lobby, his eyes following Lydia and Andrew until they disappeared into one of Berlin’s well-known shopping centers. Only then did he turn away.
He didn’t return to the hotel right after. Instead, the car carried him to a towering office building, its dark glass exterior reflecting the fading glow of Berlin’s late afternoon.
At a glance, the place looked like any other office-clean, professional, unremarkable. And perhaps that
was exactly why it was chosen. Discreet. Forgettable. Perfect for a meeting like this. He almost
wondered if Liu deserved credit for selecting such an ideal location.
Without hesitation, Cale stepped inside.
Liu was already waiting in a private room upstairs, seated with a tablet in hand. The moment Cale entered, he rose to his feet.
“You’re earlier than I expected, sir.”
Cale shrugged off his coat and tossed it carelessly over the back of a chair before taking his seat. “I don’t like wasting time. And we have quite a lot to discuss.”
Liu gave a small nod, immediately getting to the point. “I’ve gathered the information you requested.”
Cale leaned back slightly, his gaze steady. “Start with the most interesting part.”
Liu inhaled quietly, then swiped through several files on his tablet. “Mr. Brandon Oswell. It wasn’t easy to find reliable data on him-especially after you mentioned he might have ties to the Falcon family.”
Cale didn’t respond, but something in his eyes shifted sharper, more alert.

“He’s not just a clean businessman like he appears to be,” Liu continued. “Just as you suspected, he’s Don Falcon’s half-brother. Different mothers, same father-Juan Falcony.”
Silence settled between them, heavy but brief.
A faint smile curved on Cale’s lips. “Interesting.”
“And what’s even more interesting,” Liu added, “is that there’s no trace linking Brandon to the Falcon family. Not in official records, not in financial transactions, not even in the underground network.”
Cale clasped his hands together, his mind already turning. “There are only two possibilities for someone like him to remain undetected.”
“Either he truly runs a legitimate business…” Liu said, picking up the thread, “…or he’s exceptionally skilled at staying hidden.”
Cale gave a small nod, agreeing with the assessment. “And which way are you leaning?”
Liu paused, choosing his words carefully. “I don’t have enough evidence yet to draw a conclusion.”
A faint nod from Cale followed. “Good. Don’t rush it. Someone like him… is rarely simple.”
“Yes, sir.”
A few seconds passed before Cale spoke again, his voice lower, more measured. “What about Naomi? Have you found out the details of her connection to Don Falcon?”
Liu immediately swiped to another screen on his tablet. “I’ve tracked her movements while she’s been in Germany. As for the exact nature of her relationship with him… I still need a bit more information before I can give you a definitive answer.”
Cale’s gaze shifted to the screen now angled toward him. Naomi’s name appeared across several locations-hotels, restaurants, and a handful of places that didn’t stand out at first glance.
But then something caught his attention.
Pergamon Museum.
His brows drew together slightly. “She… works there?” Cale asked, a flicker of curiosity sharpening his
tone.
