But the letter was with Hannah now. Even if Quennel wanted to see it, he'd have to ask Hannah to bring it over.
As soon as he asks to see it, I can get Cherry to steal and destroy it. That should work.
“What evidence?”
“I received a letter from those people today. It says you were the one who put them up to it!”
The instant those words were spoken, Hannah, Samuel, and Cherry’s eyes went wide.
[Cherry]: Lmao, the wolf just outed himself! I'm dying, this guy is such a moron!
[Samuel]: Oh man, I am so tempted to go down there right now and give Lionel the shock of his life.
[Hannah]: Let's wait. Let Lionel say a bit more, then we'll go down. If we go now, he can just shut up.
Hannah herself was shocked that Lionel would say something like that. This whole situation was getting stranger and stranger.
She had to listen a little longer, wait and see what else Lionel might reveal.
“Is that so? Then bring me the letter. I'd like to see for myself what it says.”
Quennel heard him claim to have evidence but wasn't the least bit concerned that it was real. He simply watched him, waiting.
Lionel swallowed hard, his breathing growing heavier.
He subconsciously clenched his fists, then slowly unclenched them. After repeating this several times, he still remained silent.
