My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 650

“Lionel, you've been slandering me from the very beginning, and you're still at it. Hannah is her own person; she has a mind of her own.”

“Let’s say I did have feelings for her and decided to marry her after your divorce. Do you really think she would be forced to marry me? Couldn't she refuse?”

Quennel looked at him squarely, his composure unshaken by the accusations as he addressed Lionel's suspicions.

“Lionel, you cheated during your marriage, emotionally abused Hannah, and even conspired with your mistress to bully her. Now that Hannah is determined to divorce you, you're shamelessly clinging to her. Do you assume everyone in the world is as despicable as you are?”

Quennel laid out Lionel's transgressions one by one, giving him no room to save face.

“You…” Lionel was stunned. He hadn't expected the conversation to suddenly turn back on him.

“Don't try to change the subject, Quennel. I'm asking you, did you hire those people or not? Do you dare to swear on it? Do you dare to admit it?”

“You're the one who had a sordid affair and dragged Hannah’s name through the mud in the tabloids time and time again.” Quennel ignored his outburst and continued with his own point.

“Hannah doesn't need you anymore, yet here you are, shamelessly pretending to help her. You saw that I dealt with those people, and you got scared that she would be grateful to me, so now you’re trying to slander me. Lionel, you really will attack anyone, won't you?”

[Cherry]: I always thought Quennel was just some gentle, aristocratic type. I had no idea he was so sharp-tongued. Guess you can never really know someone.
