My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 652

Lionel never in a million years imagined Hannah would be here, at Quennel’s house.

He thought his plan was foolproof. He thought he could stall long enough to message Cherry and have her steal the letter. But all his scheming had come to nothing. Not only was Hannah already here, but the letter was probably with her.

If he had known, he never would have let Cherry take the letter back in the first place. That way, the most crucial piece of evidence would still be in his hands.

But it was too late for regrets. The most damning part was that Hannah had heard his entire conversation with Quennel!

Lionel stood frozen, his expression a mask of horror as he stared at Hannah. His mind was a complete blank; he couldn't think of any way to explain what he'd just said.

Given how much Hannah had grown to despise him lately, he felt that no matter what he said, it would be too late.

“Lionel, I can't believe the letter came to you first, and because you didn't know how to handle it, you just passed it on to me. Your methods are disgusting!”

Hannah descended the stairs, with Samuel right behind her.

Samuel had a wide, mischievous grin on his face, clearly enjoying the drama and eagerly anticipating what would happen next, especially since Lionel had already incriminated himself so thoroughly.

With things having reached this point, Lionel knew it was too late for explanations. Any excuse would be useless. But there was one thing he had to clarify.

He watched as Hannah walked over and sat down on the sofa, her face an unreadable mask.
