This boy, Alan Rickman, was here for the first time today, brought by Jimmy Dorsey, Jack’s younger brother!
And this ranch was opened by the Dorsey family’s eldest son, Jack.
Everyone knew Jack would do anything his brother askel.
Even though Jimmy wasn’t Jack’s biological brother, was born with a weak constitution, and was hard to raise, Jack had spoiled him rotten since childhood.
Whatever Jimmy wanted, he got.
The only thing he refused was letting Jimmy show his interest in boys.
Jack was a stubborn family head. He couldn’t accept his brother’s orientation. But refusing didn’t help- Jimmy still found someone to date secretly.
Alan’s older brother was that very person Jimmy was seeing.
Because of that connection, Alan acted like a little boss in the east-side children’s area.
He knew the staff wouldn’t dare offend him.
He wasn’t afraid of other kids’ parents either-Jimmy would always protect him.
So after throwing sand in Nina’s face, he didn’t feel scared at all.
He wasn’t scared, but the staff member nearly died of fright.
The staff member finally lost it.
He picked up Nina-who was rubbing her eyes and crying hysterically-and shouted at Alan, “Alan! You can’t do that! That’s really dangerous!”
Alan’s face went dark the moment he was yelled at. He threatened, “I’ll make Jimmy fire you!”
The staff member exploded. “Fine! Fire me! I quit! Keep being a brat-you’ll get what’s coming to you one day! I can’t discipline you, but someone will!”
After shouting that, he carried Nina straight toward the linic.
There was a children’s medical room nearby.
He said gently, “Sweetie, don’t rub your eyes, okay? We’ going to get them checked right now.”
Nina’s eyes were full of sand. She wailed and tried to ru them harder.
The staff member was afraid she’d hurt herself more, so he gently pinned her little hands down.
William only heard Nina’s crying now, after stepping of of the indoor room.
He had been invited into the lounge earlier.
For Ryan’s sake, he had listened to the two men’s ten-mute speech.

He said. “Thank you for the invitation. The Graham family already runs many charities of our own. I have my own arrangements for philanthropy.”
One of them continued, “Mr. Graham, I think you don’t understand. The most important thing here isn’t charity-it’s resources. If you join us, you’ll gain-
William waved a hand. He didn’t want to hear it a second time.
He wasn’t interested in all those privileges and shady pleasures the man talked about.
William said calmly, “I don’t need them.”
The Graham family wasn’t some nouveau riche clan.
The Grahams were an old-money dynasty. William had never lacked wealth or connections since the day he was born.
Trying to tempt him with luxuries was pointless.
As for the darker pleasures the man hinted at, William had zero interest.
He had no unusual tastes. One love in his life was more than enough.
William rejected them completely, leaving no room for negotiation.
The two men couldn’t persuade him and looked sour.
The atmosphere grew tense. Then William heard Nina crying.
He frowned, unsure if he’d imagined it. But his feet were already moving fast.
He strode out and ran right into the staff member carrying Nina out.
Nina had her eyes squeezed shut, her whole little face bright red from crying.
“Mommy… Mommy!” She thrashed in the stranger’s arms, screaming for her mom.
William felt panicky and heartbroken instantly.
He rushed forward to take her.
“What happened?! What’s wrong with my child?!” he demanded.
The moment Nina heard his voice, she stretched both ams out.
