Levent POV.
I lived my whole life in my pack, surrounded by people I loved,.. brother, sister, mother father, we had a big family and many relatives, from aunts to uncles, the whole pack happens to be a big family, we took care of each other, we were there for one another.
At the age of eighteen I joined the military to spend five years of my life, it’s mandatory to every blood born wolf, we don’t have to stay there, we can just spend our days and then leave, we can manage college afterwards or along during the last two years if we wanted. The military wasn’t something bad, it was just how things would go, we’d move from military to our own career, or we’d stay.
I decided to stay as did my younger brother, unlike our middle sister who decided to give up, she exchanged the last two years of military classes with nursing school, and finally she graduated as a nurse and she started working in a civilian hospital and never looked back.
Being a guy of the military was fun, we don’t have wars anymore, not since the wolves have taken over the world and ended all the wars in the world. Now our work is mainly being peace keeper for the humans, and the ones who stand in between packs when they decide that fighting sounds like a good idea.
I was on a new assignment, since I’m not mated, they loved sending me around, giving me random jobs in different places, in hope that I will find my mate in one of those places, that maybe one day, in a new place I’d find her.
And damn were they right, I had a human assignment, not my longest and not a permanent one, we just go in, make sure the humans still

have the fear of god and wolves planted in their heart and move along.
You’d think they’ve learned their lessons after all of these years but instead there’s always the idiot one who’d like to start a school shooting, one who’d blackmail another human for sex, or other things. We can’t stop the human nature, they are monsters in their souls, they only know how to cause troubles, how to try and kill each other, cause others pain, they aren’t ones who could live in peace, not ever.
And then I met her, I met her during my assignment, she worked two jobs to support herself and a young daughter of her, since the second I saw her, I knew she was it, she was smiling, she served me my coffee with the biggest and prettiest smile I have ever seen. She wasn’t like the other humans in my eyes, the smile was genuine, her tan was real from spending too long in the sun, she had the softest voice ever, and the shiniest eyes.
“Would you like anything else?” she asked me.
“Yeah, I’d love to talk to you,” I say, knowing since the second I walked here, I found her.
“What for?” she says her smile dropping, if she thinks I’m hitting on her, she’s not showing if she likes it or hate it.
“It’s a personal thing, so you mind?” I ask her.
“I do, I don’t know you, I’m not going to sit with you,” she says in a firm voice, I’m happy that she’s smart and knew how to stood up for herself even in front of her mate.
“How about, you move to the bathroom, check your back and come here?” I ask her, I’m not always this blunt, but my wolf was going insane, my monster side wanted her to know.
“Excuse you,” she says–raising a brow at me.
