Since the day they were taken away, we finally had peace, we could sleep and wake up when we want, we aren’t expected to have sex with anyone, for the first time in years, I felt free. I know some of the humans have left, they decided that leaving was the better option, but I didn’t leave, I trusted them, and this trust is about to put to the test.

Noelle had no idea what’s gonna happen next, she told me that her Captain would find something out, but she’s a good friend, and she’s for some reason the only one I trust. I spent most of the day with her, she was nice to have around, and she treated me well, and when she gets news over our situation she tells me right away.

“No, not right away, we need to see him in action, make sure he’s good to all of you, and then we’ll leave, don’t worry, you’ll be in good hands.” Noelle promises me, but I don’t believe her, I don’t like the idea of this new wolf that’s unknown.

“When is he coming?” I ask her.

“Ezra will be making the announcement tomorrow morning, and he’s expected to arrive my noon,” Noelle says.

“All wolves live in packs, where is his? Why is volunteering as tribute?” I ask her with a raised brow, and she only chuckled.

“He was part of another pack and he’s leaving them to join yours, it happen all the time,” she assures me.

That night, I couldn’t sleep, something inside my soul said to be careful to take caution like we used to when Ronan and Asher were in charge, I went back to the home that I used to call mine, I had to hide some essentials, food, water, and a burner phone, I have the hotline we called last time still saved there, along with Noelle’s number.
