Fluff Ball With Sharp Teeth.
Lotus POV
The boyfriend, Mariano, decided that he had enough of Nutmeg’s antics and changed back into his human form, he wasn’t as scary as he was while being a wolf.
“So who’s your friend Meg?” he asks her, his hand snaked around her waist not letting her move far from him…
“This is Lotus, she’s my new bestie,” Nutmeg says.
“So you’ve adopted a new friend and decided to stop being sad over your last one?” he asks her, and I had to hold back my laugh, it’s funny but sad at the same time, I’m the one who got adopted.
“I wasn’t sad,” she says with a fake smile.
“You were depressed, the pack/suggested I give you happy pills,” Mariano says making her gasp at him.
“And you didn’t give them to me! How dare you,” she yells at him.
“Meggy, I’m gonna give you the chance to think of what you just said or else I’d tan your butt and help you think of it again,” he warns her, she turned bloody red,
“Fine, but you held some fun pills from me,” she says with a shrug.
“So why don’t you introduce us?” he asks Nutmeg.
“I told you, she’s Lotus, my new bestie.” Nutmeg repeats
“Mariano Snow, nice meeting you,” he says, offering me a hand. I thought about shaking his hand but he’s a wolf, not a creature I’m very fond of
“She doesn’t like wolves, I think, maybe she’s scared of you, but F telling her you’re my fluff ball,” Nutmeg says landing kisses all over her mate’s face.
“A fluff ball with teeth, sharp teeth,” I say pointing out the obvious.
“I like this new friend of yours, where did you find her?” Mariano asks.
“She didn’t find me. I’m the one who came over, they told me to take care of her, she’s sad.” I say with a chuckle, now that he’s human and doesn’t have the scary teeth. I wanted to mess with him, it’s not fair that they just mess with me.
“See what your depression brought?” Mariano says fake scolding her
“A pretty girl with vampire features?” Nutmeg says with a giant smile on her face.
“Are vampires real?” I ask them, if the wolves are, why not the vampires.
“By Celina’s name, of course, not,” Mariano says with a groan.
“I bet they would be more fun though,” Nutmeg says trying to get out of her mate’s hold.
“Right, the sharp teeth, the most fun thing to ever exist,” Mariano
groans.
“Shut it fluff ball with sharp teeth.” she scold him.
“Girlll…” he says with a growl, turning to her, attacking her with kisses. I jumped up with fear, but she just giggled and kissed him back
“Nutmeg. I think I’ll just go home.” I say turning my back to them, wanting to go up to my room and hide there.
“Stay. I’ll introduce you to the pack.” Mariano says and my heart started beating quickly, pack? Wolves! No, I’m good.
“I need to get home, mom will worry,” I say.
“No she won’t, you’re on pack land, you’re protected,” Mariano assures
“The same pack who had me beaten up in school, locked in bathroom stole, and thrown into the bin?” I ask her in a cold voice, my whole body turning cold. I wasn’t safe here, I’ll never be safe around wolves.
“What are you talking about? Who did that to you?” he growls at me. and I took another step back from him, but Nutmeg was quick to react, she placed herself between us two.
“Why don’t we relax?” she asks.
“I’m just going home,” I say taking a step away from them, I felt a hand around my arm, holding me back, I looked back and saw it was
Nutmeg.
“We can take a seat, enjoy the sun, not meet anyone, just talk, all three of us,” Nutmeg says.

“If she doesn’t want to, let her go Meggy,” Mariano says.
“Shut it fluff ball,” she says to him and looks at me with eyes filled with pleading.
“You keep forgetting the sharp teeth,” I note to her, making him chuckle.
“I like her.” Mariano notes.
All three of us took a seat under a tree, still enjoying the sun. I was quiet first, I didn’t speak or comment at their actions, how they sat next to each other, unable to stop touching.
“Was it explained to you that wolves keep each other safe?” he asks
“Alpha, beta, all the way down to the omega.” I answer him, that was explained to me already.
“Did she tell you what I am?” he asks next, pointing to Nutmeg.
“She told me we’re gonna mess with wolves, I thought she was one, until we made it here, and then she told me she’s human and mated,” I say giving my new bestie a side glare.
“She tends not to tell the whole story unless if it works for her, always push her for the whole story,” Mariano advises me.
“Deal,” I agree with him.
“So about what he is,” Nutmeg says her cheeks red.
“Other than a fluff ball with sharp teeth?” I ask.

“I’d really appreciate if you don’t call me that.” Mariano groans, which made both of us giggle, although she’s mated to a wolf, she’d not such a bad friend to have, maybe I’ll keep her after all.
“It’s your new nickname,” Nutmeg says giggling.
“Tell her or I will Meg,” he scold her.
“Fine…fine…so you see my mate is kind of the young alpha, next one to be in charge, kind of the highest one out there,” she says and my eyes gone wild, we’ve been bullying the damn alpha!
“Nutmeg, maybe I really should go home,” I say again, not feeling that it’s okay to stay.
“You just need to know Lotus. I didn’t mean for you to leave, now that you’re her new friend. I’m not letting you get hurt anymore.” he says.
“And what are you going to do? Does any of you even go to school with me?” I ask them.
“I’m a senior.” Nutmeg reminds me.
“I don’t go there anymore, but I get to visit.” Mariano says.
“How old is he?” I whisper to Nutmeg.
“I’m twenty.” he answers me instead.
“He goes to the military school, I’ll join him next year, and you the year after.” she says.
“I don’t have to join it, right?” I ask confused.
“Only if you’re mated to a wolf, or if you want to join there’s another one that’s just for humans,” Mariano says.
Fluff Ball With Sharp Teeth
“I’m good with not joining.” I assure them.
“Her mother is a wolf mate, we all know how it ends,” she says giggling.
“I’m not gonna be mated to a wolf,” I say rather angrily.
“What’s wrong with being with a wolf, they’d take the bestest care of you.” Nutmeg says, hugging her wolf.
“That’s not a word baby, that’s why you’re failing english,” he says with
a groan.
“Shush it,” she warns him.
“But for real Lotus, being with a wolf is a great thing.” Mariano says.
“Said the wolf.” I say with another eye roll.
“Tell me how is this not awesome, I can feel her emotions, I’ll burn the whole world for her. I’ll be anything she wants me to be, I’m an alpha. wolf who would keep her safe no matter what. I’d kill for her,” he says with a smile on his face.
“Right, because murder is so romantic,” I say, groaning.
“It is when he’d kill your bullies,” Nutmeg says.
“You’re killing them?” I ask with an evil smile on my face.
“I can’t kill your bullies they are other wolves and I’m not your mate. but since I’m your future alpha, I can help you,” he says.
“I’m not part of the pack,” I object.
“Your mother is, you’re under eighteen, by law, human and wolf’s law, you are part of the pack,” Mariano says.
“I object,” I say out loud.
“Noted, by law, you’re still part of it, now do you know the names of your bullies are any of them in our pack?” he asks me, and I turned to Nutmeg.
“How the hell am I supposed to know who belong to whom?” I ask her.
“Some of us wear our pack patches, like a broche,” she says.
“But I still don’t know what the signs means,” I say, I have noticed. some of them, but didn’t pay them much attention.
“I’ll show you ours,” Nutmeg says, getting her phone out and showing me the symbol, it looked like a snow flake.
“Okay, I didn’t pay attention to what they are wearing,” I say shrug. I was too busy staying alive.
with a
“If you wear the symbol, they would think twice before touching you,” Mariano says, giving me his grand plan.
