So a war is brewing, and I need to be here with my family, so I decided to drive home, get some of our things over and stay here until their war is over, as well as I need to talk to my beta to tell him he’s in charge in my absence, and tell my uncle who’s the older retired alpha in my pack that if shit hits the fan, he needs to step in for both of us.

“Come on Flower,” I say dragging my mate back to the car so we can get our things, she was furious, talking the whole way home, she was so frustrated, and I tried to calm her down, but then decided letting her go on with her rant until she feels better.

“It’s shitty, I agree,” I finally say when we are done with our home and ready to start the drive back to the other pack.

“Now you get me,” she says with a sigh, and I just smile, why was I even trying to argue with her, it’s better just to let her talk all she wants and nod my head along the way.

“I always get you love,” I assure her, making her smile, which made me feel better, as soon as we crossed our borders I saw that there was no patrol running around which was off, there should be wolves around, they should be around here, they can’t leave the borders unprotected.

“Flower, if things go south, shift, and run,” I order her.

“You mean shift and fight,” she corrects me.

“We don’t know these people, Flower, they will hurt you without a second thought, you better run,” I order her again but she rolled her eyes at me, not believing me. If things go badly, I’m locking her in the car and not letting her out, in the danger way.

“I’m not weak,” she comments, and I believe her, but it’s my job to keep her safe.

“I know…” I say and was going to continue arguing with her, telling her that she’s a really strong wolf that I trust but we were cut off by a flying wolf that landed on top of my car. Without a second thought I got out of the car and shifted into my wolf form running to help my family. There was wolves, strangers in our land, they were attacking and they have managed to get in, they weren’t near the border, but more of in the middle of the territory.

I attacked the first one, pushing him off Noelle’s back, she was fighting too, but she could use the help, especially with such a stronger and bigger wolf coming at her. The attack was made out from six stranger wolves who were seeing red and wouldn’t hold back, every time we’d push one off, or throw them on the ground, they’d stand right back up, and start attacking again. They didn’t have a clear target, or that’s what we could see at first, they were just attacking hitting, biting going after us, but they must of have come here to do something other than cause harm, but for now we had no idea what it was.

I would love to say that we weren’t scratched, that we had all six of them running with their tails between their legs but that’s a lie, we had wolves on the ground with real injuries, and them, they had scratches and slashes but they didn’t care, it felt like they were high on something.

More and more of us have come and joined the small battle, until we

had the bigger number and managed to push them off our territory.

We went back and took care of ours, first of all, take care of the injured ones, second, have a meeting and discuss what the hell has just happened.

“What the hell happened alpha! Who were they?” one of the pack members ask, and they were right.

“We don’t know who they are personally but if we had to guess paid muscles,” Mariano says.

“Why?” someone else asks.

“We’re in war people, it’s not one that we have started, but it’s one we were dragged into, once again Alpha Ronan Vile pack is causing us troubles,” Mariano answers him, and all eyes were turned toward Mia.

“Don’t give her that look, it’s not her fault that man is a jerk,” Lotus says, standing up for her step–father’s mate.

“We’re not blaming her Luna, but if we’re going to get into a war, we deserve to know the reason,” the same person says frustrated.

“We don’t know, all he said he wants what’s his back,” Levent says with a growl, the whole idea of putting his mate in danger is driving him insane.

“So we’re going to expect another round of this?” an injured woman
