To ensure he could make it back the same day, Jonathan boarded his private jet in the early hours of the morning. It was his first time visiting this island. That evening, the opening ceremony for a new international resort was being held on Whispering Island.
Jonathan wasn't attending as the CEO of The Thomas Group; Whispering Island had no business ties with the Thomas family. Instead, he was there in his other capacity: as Mr. Jason, the man in charge of Cygnus Biotech, a company registered on H Island.
The new, world-class resort had incorporated Cygnus Biotech's latest environmental biosystem into its construction, and so Mr. Jason had been invited to attend. He had only brought Prescott with him.
The reception was being held in the Phantom Opera Hall. Jonathan checked the time; he should probably make an appearance soon. He wouldn't refuse his social obligations, but nothing would stop him from visiting Niamh's grave. "Prescott, have the airport get everything ready." "Yes, Mr. Thomas."
Prescott immediately took out his phone to contact the airport staff while Jonathan picked up a glass of champagne and walked toward the event's host. "Ah, Mr. Jason!" Loren greeted him warmly with a hug. "It's truly an honor to have your company's support. And Mr. Jason, you must stay for the main event I've prepared for everyone."
"Mr. Loren, I..." "Did you know a great beauty recently came to our Whispering Island? She has a heart of gold and has sponsored three of our local orphanages. She plays the piano so beautifully it nearly bewitched me. If I weren't already a married man with children, I would absolutely be pursuing her."
