She knew about them.
Years ago, when she and Eleanor were fighting behind the scenes, the Lancaster family had appeared to warn her.
They were aggressive. They cursed and were incredibly rude, but they had serious money.
They had offered a huge sum to buy her out of her relationship with Martin, telling her to take her baggage of a daughter and get lost.
At the time, seeing the burly Lancaster men open several suitcases filled with cash in front of her, she had been very tempted.
But she knew there was a big difference between temporary wealth and generational wealth.
She wanted to secure a place for herself and her daughter in the top tier of society, and Martin was the perfect stepping stone.
Besides, Martin loved her enough. As long as she held onto him, would she ever have to worry about money?
But those Lancaster men were intimidating. They had even discussed kidnapping her and her daughter and taking them to Midvale. From there, they could be sent somewhere so remote she would never be able to return.
It seemed Eleanor had stopped them, saying it was illegal and she didn't want her family to take such risks.
It had been many years since Sabrina had heard of the Lancaster family coming to Northwyn.
Hearing about them so suddenly filled her with fear.
"The Lancaster family… they're in Northwyn?"
Colin said, "The Lancasters haven't had much contact with our family for years, but with all the recent news about Lillian online, they must have seen it. They're definitely here to back her up and settle scores.
When Brandon went back to Midvale with Lillian to handle our parents' divorce, I heard him say that the Lancasters are doing very well there. He kept saying we should try to get closer to them."
For Eleanor and for Lillian, they're probably blaming me for everything.
I'm afraid they'll even bring up the two years Lillian spent in prison. They're not going to do something to me, are they?"
"Let them try! This is Northwyn, not their backwater town. When you're an outsider here, you watch your step. What do they think they can do to you? In their dreams!"
Sabrina couldn't afford to be careless. With the Lancasters arriving in Northwyn at such a delicate time, she had a bad feeling.
These people were indeed brutes. And with her own daughter on the verge of marriage, Sabrina worried they might ruin things.
Feigning fear, Sabrina threw herself into Martin's arms. "No matter what, I'm scared they'll cause trouble.
Whether they're here to support Lillian or for some other reason, honey, you have to find a way to get rid of them. I really don't want to see them, and I'm afraid Lillian will use them to get revenge."
