To Brandon, Sebastian’s words were music to his ears.
“Sebastian, hearing you say that is a huge relief. On behalf of Lillian, thank you.
Knowing you care so much will help her get better faster.
She doesn't really talk to us much these days. We all know you’re the one she’s always thinking about. If you could spend time with her regularly, that would be the best thing for her.”
Sebastian fully believed this. Lillian kept insisting she didn't love him anymore and had said many harsh things, but he felt none of it was sincere.
Her brother knew her best; what he said had to be the truth.
After all, how could she give up on him so easily after loving him for so long? She had worked so hard to win him over. He could only believe that she was pushing him away because she was afraid her illness would be a burden.
“Don’t worry, Brandon. For Noah’s sake, I’ll take good care of Lillian during this difficult time and help her get well soon.
It’s just… Bella…”
Brandon immediately jumped in. “Bella is known for being tolerant and understanding. She won't have a problem with this.
Sebastian, just talk to her. She’ll understand.”
Lately, Brandon had started to figure out Sabrina and Bella's game. They always maintained a facade of being kind and reasonable.
If that was the persona they had built, he could certainly use it to his advantage.
Sebastian felt a sense of relief after hearing this.
He decided not to call Bella. She would be back at the office eventually.
