Brandon knew it was making a bad situation worse.
"Alright, let's not talk about this at home. We haven't gotten the shares yet. Just wait."
Even though they knew Sabrina had spent the money, now wasn't the time for an open confrontation. For now, they could only endure it.
When the time came to burn their bridges, Brandon wouldn't let this go so easily.
By the time Bella came downstairs, the Mercer brothers were already rushing off to the office.
The Mercer Group was swamped, so weekends off were impossible. They hadn't had a real break in a long time.
Bella stood there, watching them coldly.
They weren't her full-blooded brothers, after all. No matter what they were plotting, they would never include her.
With a cold smile, Bella walked toward the dining room.
Instead of sitting in her usual spot, she pulled out a random chair and sat down.
A servant brought her a glass of freshly squeezed juice.
Bella glanced back at the servant. "Are you just going to let me eat the leftovers on this table?"
The maid said, "Miss Ward, this... isn't this how breakfast always is? Everyone serves themselves on their own plates. How can you call this leftovers?"
Bella's eyes narrowed. "These are the scraps left after everyone else has eaten. If they're not leftovers, what are they? You tell me.
The food they've all picked through is what's left for me, is that it?"
The maid sighed helplessly. "Miss Ward, in that case, we'll clear this and bring you something new, alright?"
Bella's voice suddenly turned sharp and stern. "Then what are you waiting for?"
