"It's not my plan," Brandon said. "We have our dear sister to thank. Even her getting sick can help us."

"Sick? Brandon, is Lillian sick?"

"Don't worry, she seems okay. She has a whole team of people looking after her. Mom is there, along with doctors and nurses. She'll be fine.

"But this is a golden opportunity we can't miss. No matter what, Sebastian is her husband. He has a responsibility to her."

Colin nodded, then his gaze fell on the marks on his brother's face. "Brandon, I have to ask. How did you get those scratches?"

"How do you think?" Brandon sighed. "Mom's with her. She mistook me for Dad, and she had a bouquet of roses with thorns. She just started swinging at me. Got scratched up pretty bad.

"It's nothing. A few scars on a man's face are no big deal."

Aside from the stinging, Brandon really didn't care much about it.

He carefully laid out the plan for Colin, assigning him a few tasks. Since he wasn't going home that night, he decided to use the time to meet with Sebastian.

After closing such a huge deal, Bella and Sabrina were busy, and Bella wasn't paying much attention to Sebastian's whereabouts.

So, Bella had no idea that Brandon had arranged to meet with him.
