Eleven Years All to the Wrong Man novel Chapter 187

Eric was having a blast. It wasn't until he got a call from his sister at four in the afternoon that he said goodbye to his friends and headed back to the mall where he'd been dropped off.

From a distance, he spotted Emma getting out of a green taxi, her left hand wrapped in a white bandage.

"Emma, what happened to you?!"

Eric ran over anxiously. As soon as Emma paid the driver, he was at her side, staring at her bandaged hand. "What were you doing? How did you get hurt?!"

Emma didn't want to get into the details, so she just brushed it off. "It's nothing. I just burned myself while I was eating."

"What?! Eating?!"

The word "eating" immediately grabbed Eric's attention. "It's only four o'clock! How are you already eating dinner? Didn't you just have lunch?"

Eric started rambling. "I remember you were at home for lunch. Didn't you have two bowls of chicken soup and a bowl of rice? How did you get hungry so fast?"

At that moment, Eric completely forgot about his sister's injury, his mind fixated on the fact that she had just been eating.

Emma sighed softly and turned to her brother. "Are you hungry? Do you want to go get something to eat?"

He hadn't been hungry while playing games at the internet cafe, but now that his sister mentioned it—

Eric rubbed his flat stomach, sucked in his teeth, and nodded enthusiastically. "You know what? I actually am a little hungry now that you mention it!"

She sighed again.

"Let's go."

Emma headed for the escalator to go into the mall, and Eric followed her like a puppy. It was only then that he remembered to ask, "By the way, you never told me how you burned your hand. Is it bad? Does it hurt? It looks like it hurts…"

"Shut up."
