Eleven Years All to the Wrong Man novel Chapter 173

Seeing that they were about to argue, Nathan finally removed the stethoscope from his ears.

“That’s enough. Quiet.”

He then glanced at Melissa, who was still standing in the corner, wiping her eyes and sniffling.

“For now, there don’t seem to be any major issues. Come find me this afternoon after the lab reports are in.”

With that, he turned and left. The group of interns, clutching their notepads, followed him out of the room.

As Emily was leaving, she shot a final, dissatisfied look back at Melissa. She didn't say a word, but her sharp, scrutinizing gaze was enough to make Melissa shrink back even further.

“Emily, what is your problem?”

Dylan, who was the last to leave, blocked Emily’s view of Melissa and gently closed the door behind him.

“Whether I have a problem or not is none of your damn business,” Emily shot back in a low voice, not backing down at all.

Her defiant tone irritated Dylan, but with their attending physician just ahead, he had to swallow his anger. He gave her one last glare and moved to the side.

After finishing his rounds, Nathan returned to his office. He had just sat down and hadn't even had a chance to open his water bottle when there was a knock on the door.

Knock, knock.

“Dr. Allen…”

It was Melissa.

When Nathan saw who it was, the distant, cold expression on his face didn’t soften in the slightest; if anything, it deepened.

However, Melissa had entered with her head bowed shyly, so she didn't notice the doctor's displeasure.

“Dr. Allen, here are my father’s latest test results. Could you please take a look?”
