Eleven Years All to the Wrong Man novel Chapter 15

Emma’s expression was extremely calm when she said this. She slowly opened her eyes, and her gaze, as she looked at Evan, became clear—clearer than it had ever been before.

“What are you talking about? Are you still throwing a fit?”

Evan was stunned for a moment before finally responding.

He walked over to a small table and poured himself a glass of water. The cool liquid helped him calm down a bit.

“I’m not kidding. I’m serious.”

Emma got out of bed and followed him. She walked to the coat rack, took down the purse she had been carrying, and pulled out a neatly folded document from inside. Then, she held it out to Evan.

Divorce Agreement. The two large words seemed to glare under the bright overhead light.

Evan only glanced at it before quickly looking away. He turned his gaze to Emma. “Just because of what happened this afternoon? Is that really necessary?”

“No, it’s not about this afternoon.” It’s about everything that happened before.

Emma didn’t say the second part. She just stared back at Evan, her expression serene.

“Fine. Okay. You want a divorce, I can do that. I don’t care…”

Seeing how determined she was, Evan’s heart hammered with panic, but he feigned indifference, nodding in agreement as he took the papers from her.

He flipped through them for only a second before snapping the document shut.

“This is unreasonable.”
