Chapter 586 Not Acting Anymore

Finished

“Alright. Then return the money I sent you and give back every gift I bought. If you do that, I’ll believe you.”

Maxwell stood there with his hands on his hips, sneering at her.

“T-That…” Gianna was instantly cornered. “Maxwell, bringing up money ruins relationships. Why are you embarrassing me like this?”

As she spoke, her performance mode switched on again, tears forming fast.

“Then what should we talk about? Your body? I’m not interested at all.”

Blood ties or not, even if she paid him, he’d still feel gross.

“I-I didn’t mean that!” Gianna’s face flushed, clearly trapped. “I already spent it. I can’t pay you back right now.

“Just give me some time. I’ll return everything sooner or later. Why would I lie to you?”

It sounded exactly like a scumbag’s excuse-big promises, zero action.

Maxwell laughed sharply, almost rolling his eyes.

“Fine. Forget the money. Then give back the properties and storefronts I gave you. That works, right?”

“I-” Gianna choked again.

She’d accepted those things so happily back then. Giving them up now felt impossible.

There was no way she’d return them.

What if that was a trap Amelia had taught him? What if she handed everything back and they immediately cut her off?

Then she’d lose everything.

She wasn’t that stupid.

“Maxwell, you know how bad my life has been since I left. My mom treats me like trash.

“And she’s buried in debt. I couldn’t stand seeing her suffer, so I sold those properties to pay it

off.”

Gianna was great at playing deadbeat. She came up with the excuse in seconds.

Not only did it dodge returning the assets, but it also earned sympathy.

That was two benefits with one move.

She was sure the brothers would still have some lingering affection for her.

“Miguel, I really want to smash her till her face looks like a pig. What should I do?”

Maxwell stared at the shameless trash in front of him, ignored her, and turned to Miguel.

How had he never noticed how fake she was?

No wonder they dumped so much money into promoting her and still failed..

She was just hopeless.

Now it all made sense.

It wasn’t just that her acting was bad. He’d been blind and stupid, unable to see through her at all.

“She already looks like a pig. How do you beat someone into looking like a pig when they already do?” Miguel said flatly. “Better to just beat her to death.”

“Nope. Breaking the law over an annoying fly? Not worth it.”

“That’s true. Trash like this isn’t even worth a dog’s attention. Let someone else deal with her.”

Someone like her must have made plenty of enemies. Karma would handle it eventually.

“Miguel, don’t insult dogs,” Maxwell said seriously. “Dogs are way more valuable than her. She’s worse than pigs and dogs.”

The two brothers went back and forth, sounding oddly serious, like they’d thought it all through.

Anyone with half a brain could tell they were doing it on purpose.

They were insulting her just to crush her pride.

Gianna finally caught on. Rage exploded inside her, her face turning pale,

“Do you really have to be this cruel? Where are your manners? Why all these cheap insults?

“You’ve

gone way too far!”
