Chapter 542 Outsiders
But things were different now. There was no way Maxwell or the others would bother acknowledging her anymore.
If this weren’t their father’s funeral, they would’ve torn her apart on the spot.
“Don’t call us your brothers anymore. It makes my skin crawl.
“Not only that-don’t show your face in front of us again. Got it?
“Amelia told you to get out. Did you hear her?”
Seeing the three brothers finally united against outsiders, Thea felt deeply comforted, her eyes growing moist.
It was a pity Raymond would never see it and that her sister-in-law had completely collapsed.
“Just leave already. You are absolutely not welcome here!” Thea added.
Damn it all—this whole mess of a family.
Gianna wasn’t the only one who felt humiliated-Regina did, too.
How dare they shout at them like this in public? Did they have no regard for dignity or manners at all?
She instinctively looked toward Esmond nearby, her pitiful eyes enough to soften anyone’s heart.
“I know their situation is awkward. But they were with Mr. Nygard for so many years.
“They came only out of respect. You really shouldn’t treat them like this.”
Esmond was well known in their circle as a kind, warm-hearted man with no airs.
He believed that if he spoke up now, the Nygards would give him face.
Who would’ve thought-
“When I said ‘get out,’ that included you, too. Understand?”
Amelia spoke coldly, making Esmond freeze for a second. He thought he’d misheard. “What did you say?”
“I said all of you-together-get out. You’re not welcome here. Is that clear?”

This left even the Nygard brothers stunned.
They couldn’t understand why their sister was lashing out at the Jordans, too.
Was it because Sabrina used to be Jeremy’s fiancée?
Either way, they didn’t bother guessing and simply backed her up.
“Is your comprehension that bad? We said, get out-did you hear us?”
Finished
“Exactly. If you care so much about that mother and daughter, why don’t you take them back to the Jordans?”
“Please see yourself out, Mr. Jordan.”
This time, Esmond’s expression darkened.
He swept a glance over them, then fixed his eyes on Amelia.
Staring at her strikingly beautiful face, he seemed to understand something.
Heh.
He said nothing, lifted his chin proudly, and left without hesitation.
Once he left, Regina couldn’t stay either. She hurriedly dragged Gianna along and followed right behind him.
Hmph. No rush-soon enough, she’d make the Nygards pay.
“Tsk, what’s with those three? They’re acting like one big family.”
After the three of them left, the funeral continued-but no one dared even breathe loudly.
The tension between these big shots was thick. Everyone present could only watch silently.
“Amelia, I’m so glad you came. I really thought you wouldn’t.”
Seeing her niece here naturally made Thea happy.
Even though this wasn’t exactly a place for happiness.
But if Raymond could see his daughter here, didn’t that mean Amelia had forgiven him?
If he were watching from above, he would surely feel relieved.
“Yeah. I thought I wouldn’t come either,” Amelia replied, keeping her sorrow tightly contained.
