Easter instinctively lowered her eyes, avoiding his intense gaze, and hesitated before speaking. "Jona... Jonathan."
Seeing her timid, cautious demeanor, Jonathan let out a self-deprecating laugh. What was he even hoping for? She was just an impostor, a cheap imitation with a similar face.
"Never mind. Just remember everything I told you today. As long as you do your job well, your mother's high-interest loans will no longer be a problem."
Jonathan held out a key card to her. "You'll stay in this apartment for the time being. I'll have someone arrange for all your necessities tomorrow."
Just as Easter reached out to take it, Jonathan impatiently tossed the card into her hand and left without another word.
Staring at the upscale apartment complex's logo on the key card, she felt a wave of self-loathing. It seemed she had sold her soul and her conscience to get all of this.

Hiram was shopping with Charlotte at the mall. As they passed a baby store, his gaze was instantly drawn to the children's clothes in the window. "Sis, do you think the baby will be a boy or a girl?"
Charlotte followed his gaze and smiled. "So eager to be Uncle Hiram, are you?"
"Of course I am! I'm getting a promotion in the family ranks!" Hiram mused, resting his chin in his hand. "What kind of clothes should I buy for my little niece or nephew?"
Charlotte shook her head, amused. "It's too early to be thinking about that. We can worry about it later."
Despite her words, the two of them ended up browsing almost exclusively in baby stores as they made their way from the fourth floor down to the second.
Meanwhile, Ilse was coming down the escalator with a personal shopper carrying several large designer bags. A quick turn of her head and she saw Charlotte with a young man, walking out of a children's toy store.
At first, she thought she was mistaken, but a closer look confirmed it was her.
