Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 506

“This is outrageous! They have no morals, no sense of right and wrong! And they dared to set us up! Why should we help them? Why save him? I'm pulling these needles out. If he's meant to die, let him die!”

Mrs. Lockwood was about to explode with anger and was dead set on removing the needles from Mr. Ward.

Just then, Mr. and Mrs. Ward arrived. Seeing the chaos, they asked nervously, “What’s going on? Has something happened to our son?”

Mrs. Lockwood pointed an accusing finger at Elaine Ward. “How dare you ask! You set us up, having us save your son here while you secretly went and got Marie out. Are you out of your minds? Marie put her own brother in a coma, and you, his parents, went and saved her! No wonder she had the nerve to hurt him—this is the result of your indulgence!”

Richard said, “We had our reasons for doing this. We are truly sorry. I know she's hurt Ms. Verdan many times in the past, and we apologize on her behalf. We don't expect you to forgive Marie, we only beg you not to give up on our son. Please, save him!”

Initially, the Wards hadn't wanted to save Marie, but Victoria had relentlessly persuaded them.

She had told them to bet on the one-percent chance that their daughter hadn't harmed their son. Otherwise, if their son woke up and their daughter was sentenced to death, there would be no turning back.

They had to get Marie out first, to give their family some hope.

Mrs. Lockwood was seething. “You tricked us, and you still expect us to save your son? What do you take us for? Fools? You are the most ungrateful people I've ever met! Do you have any idea that Natalie hasn't slept for two days and two nights, staying by his side without leaving, just to save your son? And you stabbed her in the back for it!”

“We’re sorry, so sorry! We had our reasons!”
