Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 379

“What... what’s going on?”

“Where’s the great man?”

Victoria and Marie were dumbfounded. What was this supposed to mean?

Suddenly, they felt a desperate urge for the two men carrying scrap metal not to come any closer.

But the men headed straight for them with the pile of junk.

“Greetings, Mrs. Cross. In honor of the wedding in your family today, our esteemed general has personally instructed us to deliver this gift. We hope you will accept it.”

Victoria looked horrified, especially as every reporter present was capturing the moment with non-stop camera flashes.

“This... this is the gift? Are you two sure you heard him correctly?”

Marie couldn’t contain her anger. “Who are you two trying to cause trouble for? How dare you use the general's name? This isn't a gift, it’s a pile of scrap metal.”

The men remained unfazed. “Please, calm down,” one said smoothly. “While this may look like scrap metal, it has a deeper meaning. Our general said this is to wish the newlyweds an everlasting bond of bronze. It’s a wonderful sentiment. You must accept it!”

A nearby reporter couldn’t help but let out a snicker.

“That’s savage. Sending a pile of scrap metal and calling it a bond of bronze.”

Marie was about to lose her mind. Sending them scrap metal and telling them it symbolized an everlasting bond?

That wasn’t an everlasting bond, that was calling them a pile of trash!

And they had to stand here and take the insult with a smile.

Marie was fuming.

Her parents had told her they invited many hidden titans of high society to bolster their image. Instead, they were being humiliated and slapped in the face.

Victoria didn't dare offend the powerful Wycliffe family, so she forced a smile. “Will Mr. Wycliffe be arriving soon?”
