Mrs. Lockwood awkwardly touched her forehead and said, "It's a great opportunity, but... will you be moving out?"
What Mrs. Lockwood feared most was Natalie moving out. If that happened, the risks would be even higher.
Natalie was torn, but she suddenly made up her mind.
"I think I'll put the institute on hold for now. I'll go after Terence and Liana have recovered."
It was a difficult choice to make when her dream was on the line, but Natalie believed in keeping her word and focusing on one thing at a time.
If the opportunity was gone by the time they were well, then that was her fate. Some things were out of her control.
"How can you do that? Such a great opportunity is right in front of you. It's not like the institute has openings every day. If you delay, they might think you're just putting on airs!"
Although Mrs. Lockwood was worried, she couldn't bear to see Natalie give up on her dream.
Terence added, "You can come over and treat me and Liana after you finish work each day. And even if your hours here are reduced, I'm not the kind of person who mistreats his employees!"
Mrs. Lockwood looked at her son. Was he making a joke?
Still, it was good that he was supporting Natalie's dream.
"Natalie, he's given you his blessing. What are you still hesitating for? But won't the daily commute be exhausting?"
Seeing Mrs. Lockwood's concern for her, Natalie felt a warmth spread through her.
Why was everyone always thinking of her best interests?
