Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 262

At that moment, Natalie regretted ever saying that gender didn't matter to a doctor.

She could feel his warm breath on her neck, sending a fluttery sensation through her, like a tiny kitten scampering across her heart.

Her restless fidgeting didn't escape Terence's notice. His Adam's apple bobbed. Her faint, floral scent filled his senses, and he felt an overwhelming urge to pull her into himself.

Sensing the shift in him, from the movement in his throat to the predatory look in his eyes, Natalie grew anxious.

"That's enough for today," she said nervously. "I should go check on the children."

With that, she managed to break free from his grasp.

"I'm going to check if the kids... if they've kicked off their blankets."

She fled. Watching her retreating figure, a small smile played on Terence's lips. So much for gender not mattering. Then what was with her flushed, bright red earlobes?

Terence flicked the last silver needle, which struck the very center of the heart on the wall.

She couldn't escape. She was going to be his.

Natalie gently pushed open the door to Lucas and Liana's room. The children were asleep, and she had to be careful not to wake them.

She just wanted to see them to feel at ease.

But she didn't know that without her back, the two of them couldn't sleep at all.

Lucas was the first to hear the door creak open. It was probably Daddy again. If only it were Natalie.

"Daddy, we'll be good and go to sleep. You don't have to keep checking on us," Lucas mumbled.

Liana looked dejected, her wide, innocent eyes filled with disappointment.

Natalie had promised to continue her story tonight.
