“He owes us this much money and you’re still thinking about some stupid competition? What does that have to do with us? Boys, grab the fresh one. We can put her up for auction tonight and see how much she’s worth. I can’t wait to see if she breaks the record.”
The thugs swarmed forward, and Kate felt a surge of fear.
“Natalie, run! Run!” she screamed.
But they were completely surrounded. Where could Natalie possibly run?
Natalie’s eyes turned icy. She knew the situation was bad. Against so many, her chances were slim, but she had to fight.
“She’s gorgeous. Maybe we should have a taste ourselves before we put her online. It’d be a waste otherwise.”
The men rushed her like a horde of zombies. Natalie fought back fiercely, and they couldn’t get the upper hand.
Frustrated, the lead thug turned on Kate. “You fight back again, and I’ll smash her head in!” he roared, raising a steel pipe and bringing it down hard on Kate’s head.
In that split second, Natalie threw her own arm up to block the blow. A sickening crack echoed as bone splintered, but Natalie didn’t make a sound.
“A tough one, aren’t you? Too bad you were born into the wrong family! Get her, boys! Take her away and let’s have some fun.”
Just as they surged forward and Natalie was left defenseless, the roar of a motorcycle engine, like an enraged beast, cut through the air.
The thugs turned to see a heavy-duty motorcycle hurtling straight for them.
