Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 191

His father's harsh tone startled Hanley.

He looked at his dad, his voice full of grievance. "But Daddy, you never used to treat Auntie Marie like this. You told me to respect her, to treat her like my own mother. Because Auntie Marie doesn't have any children, she only has me."

"I told you to respect her, but I never told you to treat her as your real mother, and I certainly didn't tell you to abandon your own. Hanley, let me tell you something. If your mother doesn't want you anymore, then I... I don't want you either."

With that, Darren turned and left. He was furious. Other people's kids were their parents' biggest allies, but his own son was kicking him when he was down, making a terrible situation even worse.

Darren was gone, leaving Hanley standing there, completely lost.

What was he supposed to do? His dad seemed serious.

If his mom didn't come, would his dad really cancel his birthday party? He'd be so embarrassed in front of his classmates.

Just as Hanley was wondering what to do, Marie appeared behind him.

"Hanley, don't worry," she said. "I planned your whole birthday party. Even if your father won't throw it for you, I will. I promise you won't be embarrassed in front of your friends."

Marie gritted her teeth as she said this. She had heard every word Darren had said. How dare he ask Hanley to beg Natalie to come back?

It was clear now he had no intention of being with her. He wanted to get back together with that woman, Natalie.

So what was all her effort over the years for?

Hanley grabbed Marie's hand. "Auntie Marie, I knew you were the best to me."

"I can throw you a party, but if your mother doesn't come, I'm afraid your father will make things difficult for you."
