Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 434

“You don’t? Didn’t you give me a look a while back? I thought you’d figured it out, so I did a little digging.”

Isabel fell silent.

Back then, she had just found her biological parents and was dealing with her children and Adrian.

She really hadn’t had time to pay much attention to Evelyn’s situation.

After that, when Evelyn wanted to visit, Isabel had encouraged her to stay home and spend more time with her husband.

She even suggested they could start planning for a baby.

Then Adrian had kept her tied up abroad.

She had never given it another thought.

But Julian’s words today suggested he had already confirmed something.

“Why are you only telling me now?”

“I didn’t have a chance before. Wasn’t she stuck in the Fiorhaven Principality?” Julian finished the fruit on her plate and went to cut some more for her.

“This was the first opportunity I had to say something, using the hothouse issue as an excuse.”

Isabel leaned against the kitchen doorway, watching him cut the fruit.

“You’re certainly enjoying yourself. First you mess with Adrian, and now that you’re in a better mood, you finally tell her.”

“But Evelyn is not Adrian. I’m not going to team up with you to mess with her.”

Julian put a piece of melon in her mouth. “If I wanted to mess with her, I wouldn’t have said anything today. I would have waited for her to go home a few months from now and have his mistress show up on her doorstep with his kid in her arms. Much more dramatic.”

Isabel couldn’t understand. “What happened to their relationship? Is it because Evelyn started spending too much time with me after we reconnected?”

“I think that’s part of it. But Richard himself gave her that freedom. In the three years they were married, she wasn’t always by his side. She only appeared when she was needed.”

Julian handed her the freshly cut fruit platter and leaned against the counter. “Love changes. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be so many heartbroken people in the world.”

“Does it have to do with them not having children?”
