Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 399

Now that he knew the truth behind The Tasting Room scandal, a chill ran down West’s spine.

Marjorie was terrifying.

Before West could process it all, he felt a pair of delicate hands wrap around his shoulders, followed by an overpowering mix of cloying perfume and a faint, putrid scent of decay.

The smell was so jarring that it momentarily cleared his muddled head.

Marjorie stretched out her arms, ready to pull him into an embrace.

Just as her body was about to press against his, West suddenly summoned a burst of strength and slammed his knee into her stomach.

It was a move his sister, Janina, had taught him while she was practicing boxing at home. Janina had been training hard lately, and in the evenings, West and Natalie would act as her sparring partners. Over time, both of them had picked up a few simple moves.

Marjorie cried out in pain, not expecting the sudden attack. She doubled over, clutching her abdomen.

West seized the opportunity to break free and scrambled toward the door.

But he only made it a couple of steps before his legs gave out and he collapsed to the floor.

He had been drugged. There was no strength in his limbs. Despair washed over him.

Was he really going to die here tonight?

Defiled and infected before the end.

He’d heard that people who died of AIDS had bodies that smelled awful…

West refused to give up. He started desperately crawling toward the door.

If he was going to die, he would do it with some dignity. There was a staircase on the second floor. He would jump…

“Trying to run? You can’t escape, West. From the moment I brought you here, you were destined to fall into hell with me. See how good I am to you? We’ll die together. You won’t be lonely in the underworld with me by your side.”

Clutching her stomach, Marjorie slowly straightened up, her eyes filled with a dark malevolence. She picked up the dagger and began walking toward him, finding his desperate attempt to crawl away both pathetic and amusing.

Suddenly, she closed the distance in a few quick strides and stood directly in his path, blocking his escape.

West looked up at the approaching figure, his eyes filled with absolute hopelessness.
