Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 257

Abigail looked annoyed. She yanked Marjorie's hand away from her mouth and shot her a glare.

"I hope she does hear me! She has the nerve to have them but not the guts to let people talk? They’re two little bastards who don’t even have a father. What, am I wrong?"

Marjorie was at her wit's end with Abigail.

Fearing her loud voice would be overheard, she abandoned their grocery trip and practically dragged Abigail back home.

The mother and daughter returned home in a huff.

Clark had just woken up. His face was unwashed, teeth unbrushed, and he was wearing a tank top, holding his phone, and scrolling through short videos while eating breakfast.

Marjorie, already fuming, completely lost it at the sight of him and unleashed her frustration on him.

"Clark, have you even showered this week? You smell like a locker room. How can you be like this? You're disgusting!"

Clark, with a piece of toast in his mouth, was stuck. He couldn't swallow it anymore, but he couldn't spit it out either.

Marjorie was yelling at him first thing in the morning. Clark suppressed a flicker of annoyance.

He calmly retorted, "Cut the crap. I did take shower this week."

After saying that, Clark went back to scrolling through videos on his phone, completely ignoring what Marjorie had said.

Abigail was about to interject, but when she looked at Clark, she managed to swallow her anger.

She turned and went into the kitchen, ignoring the two of them.

Marjorie took a few deep breaths, silently chanting: Calm down, calm down!

Clark's idea of brushing his teeth was just jiggling the toothbrush in his mouth for a couple of seconds, and washing his face was a quick, careless splash of water. She had seen him do it several times.

Marjorie angrily pulled out a dining chair and sat across from Clark, forcing herself to change the subject.
