Yvan finally breathed a sigh of relief as Opal and Rachel's quarreling and crying echoed down the hallway. He lit a cigarette, took a few drags but soon felt a knot of frustration in his chest. Frustrated, he stubbed it out on the nearby trash can and clenched his fist, muttering, "What a disgrace."

Cyprian, with a smirk on his face, came over to check if his sister was unharmed, then laughed, "Your attitude reminds me of Mason's mom back in the day at the police station."

Just another snob.

Then, turning his attention to his sister, "They didn't lay a hand on you, did they?"

"As if they dared!" Luna scoffed, "A bunch of bullies playing tough. I couldn't be bothered to stoop to their level."

Cyprian narrowed his eyes, pressing, "And what about that cut on Rachel's forehead?"

"Well... that was because..." Luna stuttered, "I... was lifting a chair to work out, and accidentally let it slip..."

Cyprian clearly didn't buy it.

Luna finally came clean, "Alright, they didn't start it, I did. I hit Rachel with the chair. What, you're going to defend her?"

"Of course not." Cyprian, the ultimate sister-protector, immediately checked Luna's hand, "Does it hurt? Was the chair heavy?"

Everyone was thinking: Damn, talk about sibling loyalty!

When Opal and Rachel finally left the hospital, Yvan got a call from his men saying they had been escorted to the car safely. He then turned to Matilda and said in a low voice, "Sorry for dragging you into this mess."

Yvan didn't finish, but Logan smiled.

Standing there, his eyes shone with determination.

"If Mr. Crowe wakes up, then my mom and I won't be alone anymore." His eyes were bright, and Yvan, looking into them, felt a sense of awe.

"Instead," Logan spoke softly yet firmly, "we'll have the entire Jungle Union behind us."
